Warranty

Warranty Policy – Profusion Exhausts

Warranty Summary (Key Points)

  • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only
  • No warranty on modified, tuned, or race vehicles
  • Excessive heat damage (e.g. blueing or distortion) voids warranty
  • Products must be installed correctly by a qualified professional
  • Labour, shipping, and associated costs are not covered
  • Full information and evidence must be provided for any claim

Failure to meet the above conditions will result in the warranty being void or the claim being rejected.

1. General Provisions

All products supplied by Profusion Exhausts are manufactured from stainless steel materials and are subject to quality control procedures prior to dispatch.

Due to the universal application of the products supplied, and the variability in vehicle configurations, installation standards, and operating conditions, all goods are sold on the strict understanding that they are installed, integrated, and utilised correctly by a suitably qualified and competent professional.

Nothing within this policy shall extend the warranty beyond defects arising solely from manufacturing faults.

2. Scope of Warranty

The warranty provided by Profusion Exhausts is strictly limited to defects in materials or workmanship.

For the avoidance of doubt, the warranty does not extend to any defect, failure, or degradation arising from:

  • Installation methods
  • Vehicle condition or configuration
  • Operational use or environmental exposure

3. Exclusions – Modified, Tuned, and Competition Vehicles

Under no circumstances shall warranty cover apply to any product fitted to a vehicle which has been modified beyond original manufacturer specification.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Engine control unit (ECU) recalibration or remapping
  • Forced induction modifications, including increased boost pressure
  • Internal engine modifications or upgrades
  • Engine conversions or swaps
  • Use in motorsport, track events, or competitive environments
  • Any application where the vehicle produces power or thermal output materially exceeding original factory parameters

Such use is deemed to subject the product to abnormal mechanical and thermal stress beyond its intended operational limits.

Any product installed in such applications shall be deemed outside warranty coverage in its entirety.

4. Thermal Stress and Evidence of Misuse

Any product exhibiting evidence of excessive thermal exposure shall be excluded from warranty consideration.

Such evidence includes, but is not limited to:

  • Visible discolouration including blueing, purpleing, or heat staining
  • Material distortion, warping, or deformation
  • Structural fatigue or failure attributable to elevated temperatures
  • Degradation or expulsion of internal packing material

The presence of such characteristics shall be taken as conclusive indication of operation under abnormal or unsuitable conditions, including:

  • Incorrect air-fuel ratios or ignition parameters
  • Aggressive or non-standard engine calibration, including overrun or “pops and bangs” strategies
  • Excessive exhaust gas temperatures
  • Improper or unsuitable use of the product

In such circumstances, the warranty shall be considered null and void without further assessment.

5. Installation and Fabrication Requirements

All products supplied are intended for universal application and must be installed as part of a correctly designed and adequately supported exhaust system.

Warranty shall be void where:

  • Installation is deemed improper or substandard
  • Adequate mounting or support has not been provided
  • Required flex sections or stress-relief components have not been incorporated
  • The product has been modified, altered, or fabricated in a manner that introduces stress or misalignment

Responsibility for correct installation rests solely with the installer and/or end user.

6. Physical Damage and External Factors

The warranty does not extend to damage arising from:

  • Impact, collision, or grounding
  • Road hazards or external interference
  • Mishandling during installation or use

7. Normal Wear and Product Characteristics

The following are expressly excluded from warranty:

  • Changes in exhaust tone or acoustic performance
  • Gradual degradation of internal packing materials
  • Cosmetic changes, including surface discolouration
  • Surface corrosion arising from environmental exposure

Such conditions are considered inherent to the normal operation of exhaust components, particularly in performance-oriented applications.

8. Catalytic Converters

Catalytic converters are warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, covering structural failure of the outer casing only.

Failure of the internal core is not covered, as this is typically the result of underlying engine faults, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect fueling
  • Faulty sensors
  • Misfires or emissions-related issues

Catalytic converters are designed for standard OEM vehicles only.

Use on:

  • Tuned vehicles
  • Vehicles with aftermarket forced induction
  • Vehicles exceeding factory power output

will result in the warranty being void.

Catalytic converters are not intended to resolve pre-existing emissions faults.

9. Operational Disclaimer

Vehicles operating outside standard manufacturer specifications may generate elevated thermal and mechanical loads.

Profusion Exhausts provides no representation or guarantee as to product longevity or performance under such conditions.

All such use is undertaken entirely at the risk of the purchaser.

10. Warranty Claims Procedure

In order to initiate a warranty claim, the claimant must provide, at minimum, the following information:

  • Product part number
  • Vehicle make and model to which the product was fitted
  • Vehicle registration number
  • Full disclosure of all engine and performance modifications, including any ECU calibration
  • Detailed description of the alleged fault or issue
  • Photographic evidence clearly showing:
    • The product installed on the vehicle
    • The complete exhaust system, including all components and layout
  • Date of purchase
  • A valid purchase invoice

Where multiple items are subject to claim, each item must be documented and submitted separately.

11. Evidence Requirements

Profusion Exhausts reserves the absolute right to request further supporting evidence, including but not limited to additional imagery, installation details, or technical information.

Failure to provide the requested information in full shall result in the claim being rejected without further consideration.

12. Assessment and Determination

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and technical evaluation.

Where evidence of:

  • Thermal overload
  • Vehicle modification
  • Improper installation
  • Misuse or operation outside intended parameters

is identified, the claim shall be declined without exception.

13. Return of Product

Any product subject to a warranty claim must be returned upon request for inspection.

Failure to return the product when requested will result in the claim being rejected.

14. Labour and Associated Costs

This warranty does not cover:

  • Labour costs for removal or installation
  • Any additional components required for replacement
  • Vehicle downtime or loss of use

All such costs remain the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

15. Claim Costs

The purchaser is responsible for:

  • All removal and refitting costs
  • Shipping or return costs associated with the claim

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Profusion Exhausts shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential loss
  • Loss of use of the vehicle
  • Inconvenience, downtime, or associated costs

17. Entire Warranty

This warranty constitutes the entire warranty provided by Profusion Exhausts.

No other warranties, express or implied, shall apply except where required by law.

19. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this warranty policy shall affect the statutory rights of the consumer under applicable law.
