Lap Joint clamps are designed as a heavy-duty clamp made for connecting (Tube-into-Tube or Tube-into-muffler). This is an unusual clamp and is designed for specific applications, (Tube-into-Tube or Tube-into-muffler of different diameters). A typical application is when joining a 2" outside diameter pipe to a 2" Internal Diameter Pipe this will work perfectly due to the difference in the two diameters.
